Privacy Policy

FreshLid Pty Ltd (ABN 23 698 549 674) ("FreshLid", "we", "us") operates freshlid.com.au and the FreshLid helmet cleaning machines. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as a matter of good practice.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us. Depending on which form you use, that can include:
- Rider waitlist: your email address and, if you choose, your suburb.
- Venue enquiries: your name, email, phone number, business name, location type, suburb or city, preferred contact method and anything you write in the message box.
- Email and phone contact: whatever you include when you contact us directly.
Our website does not use advertising trackers or third party analytics cookies. The in machine game and scan pages store a small amount of data in your own browser (for example your best score and mute setting) so the page remembers you. That data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
If we add website analytics in future we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
Why we collect it
- To tell you when a FreshLid machine opens near you, if you joined the waitlist.
- To respond to your venue enquiry and arrange a machine placement.
- To answer questions, resolve problems and improve the service.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We will only send you marketing emails if you have signed up for them. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and the business, and only for that purpose:
- Netlify, which hosts the website and processes form submissions. Netlify stores submissions on servers that may be located outside Australia, including the United States.
- Google, which provides our business email (Google Workspace) and the web fonts used on the site. When a page loads, Google's font servers receive your IP address.
- Payment providers, when you pay at a machine. Card payments at FreshLid machines are processed by the payment terminal provider. We do not see or store your card number.
- Professional advisers, insurers or authorities where the law requires it.
How we keep it safe
Form submissions and email are held in password protected accounts with two factor authentication. Access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. We keep waitlist and enquiry details only as long as they are useful for the purpose they were collected, then delete them.
Your choices
- You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
- You can unsubscribe from launch updates at any time.
- You can use the website without giving us any personal information.

Complaints
If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first at sales@freshlid.com.au and we will try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
