These terms cover two things: using this website, and using a FreshLid machine. They are set by FreshLid Pty Ltd (ABN 23 698 549 674) ("FreshLid", "we", "us"). Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Part A. Using this website
Content
The information on freshlid.com.au is general in nature. We take care to keep it accurate, and the scientific claims we make are linked to their sources, but we do not guarantee that every detail is complete or current. Test results quoted on this site relate to the cleaning fog, ozone and UVC technology used in the machine under laboratory conditions. Real world results vary with the helmet, its condition and how it has been used.
Your helmet
Always follow your helmet manufacturer's care instructions. FreshLid is designed for standard motorcycle helmets. If your helmet has special coatings, electronics, or a manufacturer warning against ozone, UV or fogging treatments, check with the manufacturer before using a FreshLid.
Intellectual property
The FreshLid name, logo, website design, copy, images, video and the in machine game are owned by FreshLid Pty Ltd or used under licence. You may share links to this site freely. You may not copy, scrape or reuse our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
Links
This site links to third party sites, including published research. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
Forms and waitlist
When you submit a form you confirm that the details are yours (or that you are authorised to give them) and that you agree to our Privacy Policy. Joining the waitlist does not create any obligation on you to use a FreshLid, or on us to place a machine in any particular location.
Part B. Using a FreshLid machine
The service
A FreshLid machine cleans, sanitises, deodorises and dries one helmet per cycle using an antibacterial dry fog, ozone and UVC light inside a sealed chamber. The price and cycle time are shown on the machine before you pay. By starting a cycle you accept these terms.
Before you start
- Remove anything from the helmet that is not part of it: sunglasses, phones, cameras, intercoms, gloves, keys. FreshLid is not responsible for loose items placed in the chamber.
- Place the helmet as shown on the screen and make sure the door closes fully.
- Do not attempt to open the door during a cycle. The door stays locked until the ozone purge has finished, for your safety.
What FreshLid is not
FreshLid cleans and sanitises. It does not repair, waterproof, reline or inspect a helmet, and it does not make a damaged or expired helmet safe to ride in. Helmet safety and replacement remain your responsibility.
Damage
We are not liable for pre existing damage, wear, fading, loose fittings or manufacturer defects. If you believe a FreshLid cycle has damaged your helmet, contact us within 7 days with photos and the machine location and time. We will look into it promptly and, where the damage was caused by the machine, repair, replace or refund as the Australian Consumer Law requires.
If something goes wrong
If a machine takes your payment and does not complete a cycle, or you are not happy with the result, contact us and we will refund the wash. Email sales@freshlid.com.au or call 0401 440 522 with the location and approximate time.
Payments
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Card payments are processed by the payment terminal provider; FreshLid does not store your card details. Tax receipts are available on request.
Consumer guarantees
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those guarantees. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything else is limited to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid for it.
Venues
Venues that host a FreshLid machine do so under a separate written placement agreement. The venue is not responsible for the operation of the machine, and any question about a FreshLid cycle should come to us, not the venue.
